Prosecutors in the US have released CCTV footage of an assault on a 15-year-old girl in police custody.

The teenager is seen being punched and shoved into a wall before being pushed to the floor to be handcuffed and then dragged out of the cell by her hair.

The video is evidence in the case against a Washington state deputy, Paul Schene, who is accused of using excessive force against the girl in November. Schene, 31, denies assaulting the teenager in SeaTac City hall, Washington state. A fellow police officer is also shown in the video, which has no audio.

The girl, who has not been named, was brought to the police station during an investigation into a car theft. Schene's partner said the girl became "lippy" and called them "fat pigs" before the assault.

The county prosecutor, Daniel Satterberg, said the video showed Schene using "excessive force". "We believe this case is beyond just police misconduct, it's criminal misconduct," Satterberg said.

The teenager was treated by paramedics after complaining of breathing difficulties after the assault.

i bet so, but you never know they might have the sherrif say that it was within protocol and have it quashed like they have done many times around here.

I am not suprised as much, i was almost attacked by a cop with bloodshot eyes in a parking lot...and he wasn't professional whatsoever. Appearantly I set "too long" in my car, looking for something so he came to my window and said like this "GET THE F..CK OUT OF HERE!"
He said this several times while holding his hand on his pistol.

i don't care what that girl said to those cops, that doesn't warrant what he did. even if she flipped her flip flop at him doesn't call for that kind of brutal force. this really pisses me off.

a guy i knew and was neighbors with, got hired on with the lakeland police dept. just because he could speak spanish. he was an absolute tyrant. he ended up getting shot by someone who had enough of his harrassement.

OH my Mother Fing God! Blood boiling doesn't even describe what I'm feeling after watching that video! My heart is racing so fast and my eyes are getting teary with anger and frustration! I'm stunned and speachless!

Do you see him, even after she is on the ground, the cop is punching her in the head and the other says something like "you got blood on it" or something?

We're talking about a 15 yrs old girl here being beat up by 2 piece of sh.t cops.

the more i'm seeing it, the more it's pissing me off. there's no way a jury would let these m*therf*ckers get away with that one.

what makes me even more angry, is that if you watch the video link that i put at the top of this post of a news report about it. they don't play the audio. but when you hear the audio version that fanta posted, that's the one they should have put on the news. that's agrivating enough right there. screw the news!!!!!

Those MF's should die! I'll spend a lifetime trying to figure out why some adults (cops, parents, teachers) all take advantage of children and animals. I have 3 rescued animals and in the next few years I'll be working on my first adopted child (eventhough I can have my own). I'll spend my life cleaning up other people's messes that they inflict on the innocent and its crippling to know this and then watch that video.

SOME PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE THE F*CK UP AND REALIZE THAT THEY'RE AREN'T SOLVING PROBLEMS...THEY ARE THE PROBLEM!

That girl wasn't even 100 lbs, the officer could have detained her with little force. That officer should be prosecuted on the highest charge possible.

no problem, i think you have the right to e-yell on that one. i rescue animals all the time too btw, it's very rewarding.

Two grown men against a tiny kid. That's sick.
I wonder if they are back to work?
