I smoke and drink. Does this mean my soul is damned, and I will burn for eternity in hell? I have never been in a fight, and have never harmed another human or animal. I HAVE however swatted a few insects.

I don't know much about religion, but....arent Catholicism and Christianity (very similar)...and don't they promote drinking wine (being the blood of Christ) promote drinking???
Didnt the bible state that Jesus turned WATER into wine? Why would Jesus do that????? Why not just let them drink water??? 
I don't get it.

I don't know much about religion, but....arent Catholicism and Christianity (very similar)...and don't they promote drinking wine (being the blood of Christ) promote drinking??? Didnt the bible state that Jesus turned WATER into wine? Why would Jesus do that????? Why not just let them drink water???

Sometimes...yes. Don't you? Jesus drank wine. Sorry. I must have you confused with someone else. I thought that you had quit. I had some Mormon friends tell me that if you are a Mormon that they feel that if you smoke or drink you are hurting Jesus because Jesus is inside of you. I'm not Mormon, btw. |

I'm not Mormon either. THANK GOD!!! I did quit drinking for a while. But I fell off the wagon. I'm pretty sure I'll be forgiven though.
The God I believe in is all loving and all forgiving.

The only thing that will cause you to spend eternity "in hell" is if you make the decision to do so. |

Filmfreek, My Morman friends didn't even get Novacaine (sp) for when they got cavities filled in their teeth. They didn't drink anything with caffeine either. They felt like that was putting drugs into your body and Jesus lived inside of them and it hurt Jesus. Hope you get back on the wagon soon. You deserve it.

The only thing that will cause you to spend eternity "in hell" is if you make the decision to do so. Right on. I choose not to. So I'm safe.
