against. people are generally fundementally weak and irresponsible. even though it would empty our prisons and decrease violent drug related crimes people would go overboard with it. id like to see it legal but i know the nature of humans... and i dont think its a good idea. besides if it were legal it would kinda lose its appeal.

I don't do drugs either but feel pot should be legal. I would much rather my child get into a car with someone who has been smoking weed than someone who has been drinking. I've never heard of a fight breaking out after people have been smoking...  "I'm gonna kick your ass man.... after I eat this pizza and quit laughing "

I don't do drugs either but feel pot should be legal. I would much rather my child get into a car with someone who has been smoking weed than someone who has been drinking. I've never heard of a fight breaking out after people have been smoking... exactly !!!   and if people do get in fights & drive insane & do crazy stuff,  it's because of the alcohol & crank & rock cocaine ,  not the weed  |

I am actually just sitting here burning one right now. And I see nothing wrong with it. I got called into work tonight after being out with a friend all day, and it is nice to sit down at my computer and just relax with one. just like people do with a bottle of beer or a glass of wine or what not.

You just described the exact same side effects that alcohol creates. And you know alcohol has only been legal since the 30's. People fought to get that. The prohibition was a HUGE era. And people all across the world still enjoy it today. Same with cigarettes. So I am not sure how marijuana would lose it's appeal. And breathalyzers were not created until a few years ago. Before that you had to put your finger to your nose. So it is not like they had any REAL safe way to tell if somebody was drinking and driving. Beside, I mean come on. How many fights have you seen between two stoned people? |

the legalization of marijuana? Against because it can be dangerous with certain people. Some people can have a bad reaction to it and be dangerous, I've seen it. |

Never understood why it wasn't legal. For. a lot of it was a response to demands from the southwest atates in the 20's they were having a big problem even then with Mexican illegal aliens and one of their habits was smoking marijuana. and it was a tactic used to bust em and send em bak |

Fights? well i smoke and i have gotten into a fight stoned. dont make generalizations that just cuz people are high they wont fight. people shoot eachother stoned. no fisticuffs involved. it will be legal eventually but i have seen the damage it deos to people. if you get carried away drugs can take everything away. alcohol included. im pretty good with it and prioritize but thats just me. i dont want my brother smoking pot and losing ambition. i cant say that he will be able to balance his school and recreation with drugs involved because there are no garauntees. individuals are different. some people can attain that balance like me but what about those like my uncle who still lives with my grandparents and my neighbor who will never be able to move out of his parents place because drugs have such a firm hold on him? i dont know man. and i dont lose sleep at night over it because ive known for a while that these decisions arent made by the voters. especially when it involves taxation.

I was watching a show called "Manswers" on Spike TV last night and one of the questions they answered was "If you have only one small bud to smoke what is the most efficent way to get the most out of it?"

I kinds like it the way it is right now if its legalized the govt will get involved and you KNOW they will screw everything up. I kinda like it barely decriminalized but not legal enough for the corporate people to get a hold of it If we could get all the states in the same balance I would be fine with decriminalization, because as you said...the government screws everything up. |
