Hummm myself I prefer to read the question and the responses that each have made in the order they were made.  You'd probably be one of the few who actually read the whole post before forming an opinion. I do most of the time. I do as well. |

You'd probably be one of the few who actually read the whole post before forming an opinion. Not so sure that I'm one of the few. But......I do tend to like to know the whole story and how others in fact see things as well. Most of the time the OP does not give all the information needed to form and opinion in the beginning post. They tend to add to the situation as the thread goes on and others ask questions. So therefore I do read the whole post before coming to my conclusion and voicing my opinion.

Well, how many times do you need to see the first page?
I only need to read it once. For the rest of the thread, all I need is to see the last few posts. |

Well then if I do go back to read the thread I tend to read from where I last posted to the end. Therefore I click on the page number that I need too and it is not always the last one for at times there have been several responses since I last posted.

Typically, a forum has both of these settings. One could chose "When I View the Tread" option to act as follows: Show me: "First Post" or "My Last Post" or "Last Post". Even having only "Show my last post" is much better than none. Actually, I like that more than seeing the last post, cause this is where I review from, too. |

Well, how many times do you need to see the first page? I only need to read it once. For the rest of the thread, all I need is to see the last few posts. Then don't click on the first page. Click on a page farther down. |

Anyone else thinks that the last post on a given topic should be the first shown when clicking on topic? It could be a little confusing
