You're welcome, Pagasus. flowerforyou

There is one near you. I checked that city. There are some that I have been to also. My college dormitory is on there and I know that there were some creepy things going on in there.

Have you been there?

Yeah, well not all the way in the woods, because there is really nothing left over, only some outlines of the foundations of the houses, but even that is pretty much overgrown. There are new buildings there not far from the actual place and so far there isn't anything going on.

But on the other hand, the church in Cornwall and the school building next to it is just another story. I used to work there for weeks, and there are some weird stuff there. The church was burnt down to nothing in a fire back in the 1800s, only had the bell and the preacher stand survive. Next to it, there is a school, or used to be school, collapsed roof, the walls are falling apart, it's completely deserted. Back in the 80s, a twister came down, (extremely rare) and ripped across the valley not far from where Dudleytown used to be and it was going at the church's direction. As the town folk told me, they thought it's lost, when the twister made a sudden turn and ripped apart the school. Ever since the school is abandoned and nobody wants to fix it, because the paint has lead in it. The church walls are cracked from the storm and ever since like every 5 years, the church has to be fixed up, because the cracks keep coming back. I've been in the bell tower of the church, and found some funky things. I don't think anyone was up there in recent times, but I did take some souvenirs , an empty wine bottle from the 50s.
There is a newer church right across from this one, and the funny thing we noticed (I got eye witnesses after I showed them), due to the way the lights hit it or something, it looks blue in the morning (you can walk around it and see it) and white in the afternoon. One day we all thought, someone painted the church blue until we realized later in the afternoon that it's white. Weird.

by the way, the damage what the twister did is still visible today, even after 20 years...the trees on the hillside, it looks like someone pushed a giant lawnmower. All smaller and younger trees..I guess it was a nasty one.

There is one thing about this deep forest though..it's just damn thick. I mean, I grown up living places like this in the middle of nowhere, and I spent 6yrs in the Army, walking through the woods all over the place, but here, the woods are so thick and grown in, it's just crazy. You almost need a flashlight in the middle of the day, and if it's cloudy, you feel like it's in the middle of the night there. Also so damp or don't know what the hell. I had a hard time lighting a match..weird... Didn't see ghosts though, only deers and birds.

It wasn't me, silly.laugh flowerforyou

One girl's radio would change stations by itself. The elevator door would open when we got there. There were heavy thud sounds on the roof at night. And more. It was creepy at night. It's on the list - Warrensburg, MO - college dorms.

The Manresa Castle here has been featured on a TV show as being haunted.

And Fort Worden is supposed to be a really easy place to see a ghost, it has campgrounds and old Army barracks plus the cemetary with a lot of soldiers buried there. Fort Worden is where they filmed "An Officer and a Gentleman" years ago. I have never seen anything out there, but don't spend a lot of time there either.

That's very interesting. It must look strange to see just a bell tower standing there. They sure did have some negative things happen in a small area. That blue color sounds strange. I don't think that I would like those woods.laugh

I grew up in Manitou Springs, CO and unless you live there for a long time people will never truly understand just how haunted this town is. Hey it is a great place to vacation to though.

I just checked that site from the Winx post, we got plenty:

http://www.theshadowlands.net/places/connecticut.htm

They don't mention the ones I know though for sure.

the place called Gaylordville.

There used to be a crazy woman living there, she used to sit at front of the window and stare at everyone.

One night she got out and started running on the railroad and got hit by the train.

Ever since, her family moved away or died out, don't know, but the place their house used to be are nothing but rubble and some bricks on the ground. When I was there to check it out, there were still like a door and a windowframe laying on the ground, but I had such a weird feeling , that I felt like I was gonna throw up. I looked at my brother he was white as a wall, and he took the words out of my mouth "let's get the hell out of here".

There is also a railroad station not far, was set up as a museum or something, according to the locals it's haunted, they hear the piano play on its own sometimes.

My ex was a part Native American (Schaghticoke) and she showed me more weird crap there, the reservation is right next to Gaylordsville. She showed me a witch-grave, we had to sneak in into an old graveyard..the bush around the grave are all grown in very grotesqe shapes, and I know the locals know about it, because i saw some stuff left over from burning something..like a ceremony or worshippers, whatever. I wish I had a camera..also an native cemetery at the reservation..just an empty field but you will feel very weird near it.

Humm Nashville, MI...the library has ghosts not mentioned but well known to locals who have been seen in the window of the library. A woman and a cat. I think there might be a sign outside or in the library that mentions the ghost now. I know there used to be.

I once lived in a really yucky apartment complex in Norfolk, VA (1977-78) that if I recall rightly was called Robinhood Apartments.

There were two buildings near the rental office that were unoccupied but locked. At night odd lights were seen and sounds heard. Rumors of haunting were circulated and since leaving I have seen it listed as a haunted site. I didn't see it on the list.

sometimes that does happen, for not to be listed.
as there is a old building that is here in town its clothing and odd and ends store. it was built in the early 1900s. and they have a ball room upstairs which you feel a little strange going in there.. they had a paranormal group investigate it like several yrs ago. and a friend of mine owns a psychic store in there and she has even stated she has felt them... but any how the reed opera house is not listed as a haunted site.. which it should be

How do I "Reader's Digest" this down?????? (Sorry in advance for the long post)

Belgrade,NE

Renovated a house that had been a boarding house, brothel, crazy doctor's house amoung other things. My room was to be #3, my sister's #4.

When I first went to view my (to be) room, there was nothing but a card table with a 1965 Rolling Stone mag and an old (sprial style) Pepsi bottle in the middle.

All of a sudden the air came blowing through the vents and startled me. (The utilities were not turned on yet). I heard a "thump" and there was the Pepsi bottle from the middle of the table spinning on the floor. It spun for (what seemed to an 8 year old) minutes.

LATER:

(and my sister doesn't remember this) I got a chill in the middle of the night. I went downstairs to where the main furnace was. My sister was there and said, "Did THEY tell you to come down here too?"

The next morning we found a huge piece of ceiling plaster had fallen on my sister's bed. Investigating further, my parents discovered that the plaster was weak in my room as well.

It is in Port Townsend, WA. Is now used for a hotel and restaurant.
