This is so disturbing on so many levels.

If tried and convicted as an adult, where will this child be housed? with other adults? separate area? personal correctional officers?

Juvenile Detention until he turns 18, then sent to prison to fulfill the sentence terms. At 11 I can't see him actually being tried as an adult, there are a lot of expert testimony that could come forth that would stunt that move.

Never heard of somone being that young committing murder, but it does happen...happens a lot actually. Youngest I ever heard of was 14, but it does happen quite often.

Can't blame the guns, can't blame the child, leaves blame to placed on one other source...

Children tried as an adult are housed in youth facilities until they are 18 and sent over to an adult facility. Correctional facilities can get into big trouble if they send someone over before the 18th birthday. That happened once at the jail I used to work at. They found out the guy's age and sent him right back to Juvie.

Weren't the two boys in England, who killed a 4 or 5 year old, themselves only around 9 or 10?

Would these convicted minors (for example) be in general population while at the juvenile detention centers? gen population when transfered into prison? Do they get any type of special priviledges as they are younger than most, ie, correctional officers assigned?

Curious how this system works.

Don't know about England, I don't watch TV and only have what I've studied which is mainly US.

If someone is convicted the only special attention or priviledge if you can call it such a thing would be isolation, typically you don't go too isolation based off the charge you go in for...it is based off your attitude and behaviour in the facility (e.g. commit murder while behind bars, drug sales, etc.).

Does anyone else find it disturbing that they design shotguns for CHILDREN ?!

No I do not as many fathers enjoy hunting with their sons. Most sons do not use their hunting weapon for anything but hunting.

In the US they are keept in juvenile prison until the age of 18, then are moved into adult population.

Seems like I heard those two British boys who killed the child had been released from jail. If I recall correctly their names were changed and they were relocated as well.

I was referring to the two young boys (11 yr old in PA and 9 yr old in AZ).

Thanks Lynann going to look into that.
