Well... they DO have such a thing as gallstones. I knew a sound engineer on a movie who suffered from them- every time he'd pass them, he doubled over in pain, as if someone had taken a Louisville Slugger to his side. Not pleaseant.

Well... medication CAN be used to try and dissolve gallstones made up of cholesterol, which can then pass through. However, it'll still hurt like a SOB though, as (like you said) the ducts in the gall bladder are pretty small. Basically put, you'd be screwed in either case. I just hope that's not what you got.

De nada.
Then again it could just be a pulled a muscle in your lower back somewhere, which can and often does result in the same kind of symptoms. That'd suck as well, but you an at least recuperate on your own eventually.

I didn't strain anything that I'm aware of.. The last 2 days has been mostly work and work.... LOL

Were the last couple of days particularly stressful? If so, it could be some reaction you're having due to stress, which can manifest itself in any number of ways, including various types of back and torso pain.

Well... it could have something to do with things. I know when I get stressed, my knees, my left hip, and my left shoulder start to act up on me rather significantly (stemming from some injuries I had while in Panama in 2004), so stress can definitely be a factor. It'd be hard to say though, being as I'm not a doctor.
