Hello all...Im doing a year in Iraq and then moving from Italy to Dayton, Ohio. This mingle thing seems like a cool way to make some friends so here I am. Im a 40 yr old man that likes trying new things and seeing new places (a year in Iraq is plenty -- seen the whole country and have 4 months to go).

Why on Earth would anyone move to Dayton, Ohio on purpose????

Wow, fast responses. Hmmm, send pizza eh? Might be tough to do. Tell you what, you get toBaghdad and I will take you to the Iraqi joint that serve up a mean spicy chicken pizza. I will even toss in a fruit smoothie :-)

Not on purpose...Im in the USAF. I asked for the UK, belgium, Germany or anywhere in Europe. They offered St Louis or Dayton. So, off I go.

Yeah that place is sh!tty been there dont want to ever go back.........im actually good on all of Ohio.............uhhhhhh Ha, Im trying to be positive about the move but you guys dont make it easy. Well, Im sure I will meet some cool people that will help make it fun. :-) |

Close to cincinnati and Columbus. and lots and lots of stuff to do. pro and college sports, I mountain bike so thats a bit lame there but still. There is lots to do. Im excited. |

I went to Indiana to watch the NCAA cross country championships a couple years ago. I think it was in Terra Haute and it was a fun trip. Had some beers and some laughs and generally a good time with the locals. Good people there! |

I am from Ohio, you may like Dayton, its a good base. Just remember the Highway Patrol will give you a ticket if your going 70 for 5 over. They have to catch you, my mother got a ticket for doing 1 over the speed limit.
Thats why I live in Massachuetts. Speed limit is a suggestion. |
