The town I am in is much friendlier than most in the Los Angeles area. However, not as friendly as towns I have been to in other states. I am very friendly to strangers in general.

Still getting used to my new town. So far, most are pretty nice and welcome you.

I'm the kind of gal that can talk to anyone at any time... unless I am attracted to them. Then I tend to get a little more quiet, but will still say "Hi". Made lots of new friends that way. Plus, I work for a very public office, so I have no choice but to talk to people. Might as well be nice about it!

Me to. Except, I draw them a map that will eventually get them where they wanted to go. Take the scenic route, I say. Not!
A lot of strangers tend to have car trouble traveling this way. We're on I-10, between El Paso and San Antonio. It's a long, lonely stretch.
If they as me about mechanics or what-not, I aim 'em to the best bargain I know.
Used to have a second-hand, open-air market, just off the freeway and have allowed some to camp out free for a day or two.

I live in Fort Worth now don't confuse us with Dallas. For too many want to refer us as DFW when in fact Fort Worth and Dallas are totally the opposite of each other it is so unreal. Dallas is very busy and fast paced where Fort Worth also known as Cowtown is slower pace even the people are more relaxed and not in such a hurry. If you go downtown at night and walk around you will notice that people don't seem to be in a big hurry but in fact just casually walking around enjoying the town.

Ft Stockton is almost just a Truck Stop. We have an I-Hop, Wal-Mart, a few restaurants, Sears and Beals and a small bowling alley.
Nothimg much at all for entertainment.
The closest big city is 80 miles away.
I like it because of those things.

All my g/f-s were from other towns, other states, other countries. Very dead town, nothing here but rich getaway houses and some locals who stick to only to the locals. Unfortunately I'm out of the league here.
