hello? do they look in front of their noses....who is the alleged money
going to?

whatever does filter into the governments mentioned in the form of
AID...is made accessable to those gov.'s...in case you havn't noticed
these are some of the best gangsters on the continent.

by the time anything can even establish itself within the infrastructure
of communities, some raid or some unknown fire or some misappropriation
of funds or some bureaucratic nightmare which africans are famous
for....the story of giving them tractors which truely assisted them,
but with no information about how to change the oil or recognize a
problem....no tools or mechanical understanding.... well it does not
take a rocket scientist to see what happened.

i don't understand alot of things... i realize , some things i would
rather not understand, like this, it's easier not to take anything they
say seriously and work independently..it's too upseting to keep being
set up over and over.

these promises they make are stretched over time and conditional ,
manipulated often by people with no or little experience in the field
invested and reinvested while a corrupt gov tries to invent new avenues
of embezzling even more.

and now that there will be certain patents that will prohibit the
distribution and manufacture of generic drugs that are cheaper and more
effective for treating new strains of HIV, Tuberculosis and other
infectious diseases...even the antibiotics will be more costly.

look up MSF/Novartis...to understand better.

rather than promise money that never arrives, send in teams that are
paid directly and have to be accountable...
teams made up of African talent and the Org's talent,

Unicef is a beautiful example of this work to create sustainable
developement and basic needs, like water and power, (solar) and wind,
schools, training centers, within the cultural traditions but with the
west's advancements in management and civil engineering. creating mini
construction projects all over the country and at the same time
training a work force within the local populus with the skills to carry
on in their own behalf after a period of concentrated effort to insure
stability and growth, help them create a simple place to live and they
have the imagination to thrive....

funding their governments is something i still have no comprehension
of.grumble

and now china is drowning....can you fathom the numbers???
compare for a moment a week in bagdad and 1 day of this flood...

sigh....i look out my window and i see a fragile world

This is information I got from the net in a hurry after just getting up.

Everything you say is true, you know it, I know, everybody knows it.

What does it tell you?

The Governments that give all that money don't really care.
They say with giving the money they have done their duty, period.

What can we do about that, that is the question.

I have been doing research to see what went wrong at the G-8. I am not
sure if I want to post any of my findings so far until I speak with
someone else on this. I am trying to get an unbiased, no emotions
attached picture. Everyone, I think knows how I feel about Bush so I
want no mistakes about my findings.
I have not ignored this, and I have no illusions about being able to
affect the outcome. However, I do know we, America, are a country of
good people and traditionally we do a lot of good in the world.

We as individuals donate more per personal income to charities than
individuals in any country on the Earth.
Please, my friends keep this in mind as you trash our
government!!flowerforyou

We are good people that do care about the world!! drinker

Outside my window, they're talking about putting a new international
highway (I-35?) from Canada through South America... think of all the
endangered gerbils that'll affect... Oh, right, and people.

I woke up this morning to a gray sky.
I read the news and with the rain my tears are falling.
Will it ever stop?
Will there ever be something else but death and war, hunger and
suffering?
I'm crying for the world, the way human beings destroy it.
I'm crying for those who suffer because others can't stop fighting
because of greed.
I'm crying for those who die, trying to make a difference for who
suffer.
I'm crying for those who are left behind.

Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone!

To Elsa!

Outside my window the sun is shining, and I hear the sounds upstais of
an old friend rousing himself in the guest bedroom.

No action in the bird house. The last brood has departed.

Come on, everyone, let's shake off the blues. There is much work in the
world to be done.
