Brady Quinn is the 3rd string QB. He won't see a snap in a regular season game all season. Unless someone gets hurt. It's not Romeo's style to stick the kid in without a year of having a clipboard in his hands.

I don't see how you think this will be true. First off - there's a rookie left tackle. Granted - the 3rd pick in the draft - but it's going to take more than pre-season and 3 weeks of games for this kid to have it under control. Putting your future franchise Quarterback in with a rookie left tackle is suicide. That isn't even done in division 3 football. I'm well aqaunted with Romeo as a coach. We had him here in New England for years. He has been part of the Parcels/Bellichick team since he came into the NFL. Even Parcels didn't start Bledsoe until the 12 game of the season in his rookie year. And that was on a team who's starting quarterback wouldn't have made the practice squad on any other NFL team. So - I would say - if Brady starts at game 3 or 4 - like you say, you're looking at another Ryan Leaf. He won't last the season, and will be out of the NFL in a couple of years. Those who ignore history - are doomed to repeat it. Only Payton Manning - and Eli have been thrown into the fire that early. And it took years for Payton to finally get a winning team - and how soon - if ever, do you think Eli's going to the big dance? |

i think Derek anderson will be a good fit for the Browns as starting QB. i was surprised the browns traded Frye so fast though. i dont think Quinn will start this year.
