Thats great ! Finally we get a little time on the soap box.
Religion is just superstitious nonsense, and you don't have to believe in any supreme being in order to be a good and moral person, in my opinion. |

That school is just awful. Those teachers are terrible. They shouldn't be allowed to teach. |

Not only sad but angering. This is the issue I have with the religious. They have been given cart blanc for so long that they feel inpenetrable and superior. The first discrimination is that a person cannot be a good upstanding citizen without the religion of choice at the time and place. Then they feel justified in poking and rejecting those who believe differently. Then they will lie about having not done the poking and rejecting. Then try to use public shame and disgrace as a way of guilting the people to either conform or leave as if this country belongs exclusively to them. And lastly if all else fails they use the fear of eternal damnation on people who do not believe in it. The whole school was reciting the lords prayer in this video, that is school sponsered religion and christian religion at that not a universal religion as they like to claim. If the children want to pray to themselves before and after the game there should be a moment of silence for this observation. It is not that hard really. I will say this again and this video shows the validity of it. THERE CAN BE NO RELIGION IN THE GOVERNMENT OR ANY INSTITUTION FUNDED BY THE GOVERNMENT IN ORDER TO BE RESPECTFUL TO ALL RELIGIONS. OUR GOVERNMENT CAN HAVE NO RELIGION IN ORDER TO RESPECT ALL RELIGIONS OR THE LACK THEREOF. |

everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
we are all human beings and deserve common human courtesy...it makes me sad for her, and what's worse, is if she wasn't picked on and ridiculed for her beliefs, the kids would have found something else to ostracize her for... |

This is supposed to the land of the free and freedom of religion is basic. I am a Christian but I refuse to force my religion on someone else. Even the Bible says to respect others. To try to treat someone like they are inferior just because they were of a different religion is just as bad as racism

You can take out the religion and its still a horrid human behavior to require any doctrine that places some inside a group and those outside the group get ridiculed.
This is the same type of behavior that has precipitated the worst school violence of our times. |
