"They made it sound like we were fighting back for 9-11, but if thats
the case then where's Osama's body?"

When we declared war against osama bin laudin back in 2001, we not only
declared war against him, but "all terrorists and those that help the
terrorists". Again, with the information we had at the time wether it
was correct or not, Saddam was supporting Bin Laudin, or other
terroristic groups, hence we had already declared war against him.

1st thing the Army does is strip away individuality from a recruit,
(brainwash) and then teach them to do as they are told, and work as a
Team. We have the finest Armed Forces in the World, (no doubt), but the
military has made a psychological study for years, on how to manipulate
the human mind to get a soldier, from a civilian, and they have become
very proficient at it. When I first ETS'ed, I was brainwashed, (not
really evident to me at first) and even now, 23 years later I could
still disassemble an M-16 blindfolded, provide first-aid for various
wounds a man might suffer in combat, and have yet forget my tactical
training. I am more open to the world now, but then at 19, the
government was infallible. They do it to you so thoroughly it takes
awhile to acclimate to civilian life. It did me, but I was Infantry and
it might be different for other MOS's. I couldnt tell you though,
because I was a Grunt....

I was laundry and shower, and when deployed to bosnia I was with a
non-mobile hospital, so I did not see naything so to speak. however to
this day (8 years after ets) I can STILL take a squad of six out, choose
a site for that mos, and have it up and running with supply channels
covered and whatnot, in under 12 hours. I am seriously considering
rejoining but in a different mos, so...

I know it said no opinions, but oh well. My opinion is, why are the
reasons we're over there constantly changing? Why did the gas prices go
up the minute an American troop set foot over there? And finally, why
are you tryin to stick up for the same government that takes money from
alcohol companies to keep weed illegal? I know that had nothin to do
with the war, I just always wanted to say that.

oh I am not sayiing the government isnt corrupt man, I agree with ya
there especially about weed being illegal when it shuld be legal.
however, my beef here, is people claim the war is illegal, when
everythign was done right (by president bush and congress). and yes
when it was found that the documents were falsified, president bush
cleaned house (maybe he did so in a way to advance something political I
dont know; I asume he did though lol)

I never considered war in a "legal v. illegal" sense. I do find it
immoral, barbaric and senseless, however. I cannot believe we can't find
SOME way to resolve our differences without resorting to violence. But
it's "human nature" to want to kill, I suppose.huh

so you are saying Jean, that if someone threatened you and all evidence
pointed to the threat being carried out, you would not take preemptive
measure to ensure your safety? por the safety of your children? Even if
it meant war or some form there of?

Why do people always infer such ridiculous assumptions from my posts?

No, I'm not saying that.

Ah, yes, human nature. It is the best of both worlds, the ability to
love and hate, get away from and pester, basically God and the devil.
All actions by human's are considered human nature, just as it's just as
easy to hate someone right off the bat as it is to love someone right
off the bat. Ain't life GRAND!!

armydoc those who want to claim there were no WOMD simply are naieve to
the real TRUTH. You and i both know those weapons were found but its so
much easier for other countries and fools to "PLAY THE BLAME GAME". How
bout that big terrorist link that just got busted. They buried weapons,
computer and electronics, plenty of fixins for bombs galore and of
course that FIVE MILLION BUCKS sitting in the desert sand. BIG SIGH!
just imagine the fun that would bring!!!!!!!!
WHOOOO RAHH!!!!drinker
