Also from a skeptical standpoint, that which is unjustified by evidence is weird. I think its weird to believe in stuff which has no objective reason to be believed.

Thats just me . . .

Weird is what is not normal. If 90% of the population believed in alien abductions it wouldn't be weird. It would be normal.

Actually the belief in aliens is about 69%.

So it is more normal than not.

"Weird" has to be a matter of opinion then.

I often find myself in conflict or at war with my logical side and my belief structure. They seem to clash alot but the more i read into such personal divisions i tend to liken it to "business is business and pleasure is pleasure" Sometimes i just have to accept that some areas in my life are guided by faith in my beliefs while others are broken down into logical arguments. That was a good read thanks dude.

P.S if you know your weird doesn't that absolve you? Kinda like a sane man can not really claim insanity and contrarily an insane man would claim sanity.
I can usually count on you for an unbiased opinion on interesting material bushido  keep up the good fight all will be reveald just keep diggin'

I often look at things logically then the superstitious or emotional belief falls in to place.

example
I believe in aliens logically because it makes sense because the odds of it being true are tremendous, I mean go out at night look up and you will see a lot of stars and those are not even half the stars out there now think that is alot of possible places for a planet to be and for there to be life on that planet with soo many planets the odds of life only being on ours are very slim.

Reincarnation I believe in reincarnation because of a the famous laws of physics that state energy can not be destroyed only broken up and reused again in a different way which leads to the energy that is a person once you die that energy is broken up and used for different things eventual some of that energy after being broken apart and re-used over and over again may find it's way to be used to make another person.

Abductions? Or just aliens? That is an interesting statistic. You have a citation? Id love to read that one. I believe there is life somewhere in the universe other then earth, I am agnostic regarding abductions, or even intelligent life for that matter.

I think that smart people are more likely to influence their gene expressions by turning them on or off. So perhaps they are wierd, or holding views that are not practical, which seems to be the other sense of weird here, simply because they can mold themselves certain ways. I mean it's like looking at a bunch of play-doh. A kid picks up a slab with more bumbs and irregularities and says out loud to a supervisor "this one is weird." Well, if you pardon the simple example and remember your inner kid, perhaps it is just that more intelligent people tend to be more apt to develop forms. Sometimes they develop views that are odd, but on closer inspection, and after some time, actually do contain a kernel of truth. At other times, perhaps it is best to say that they just took it a little too far.

I think that that is the way to look at an after life. I don't think of one with me in it, but I do occupy some energy, and whatever that small inner force is, it has to follow energy rules.
