Topic: Can distance kill love? | |
---|---|
anyone notice her account has been deactivated? Well now that you mention it.....I also noted she edited her post in 2009, hahahhaa, but interesting that this thread was found from so far back. But i do think it is a great topic actually. Weird though someone would pull a thread up from so long ago. . .Now that is BORED! |

Methinks anything can Kill Love If you let "It" kill it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() True, Luis. But also, sometimes people learn an important lesson too. That lesson can allow the same love to blossom again. You can't force it to, but you have to keep faith. When you see it re-kindling, you have to be willing to fight for it like you will never have another chance. At least, that is what happened to me. I am very glad I learned what I did. I am very glad I was given a second chance. And I am very glad I fought for it, just as I will need to continuing doing from here on. The will to fight for it might be there The chance to use the will to do so ... might not Good luck to you man! |

No! Distance CANNOT kill love. Neither can time. ...real love lasts. It ain't easy and it ain't for the faint of heart. It hurts but feels sooooo right. It is feeling lonely when you hang up....but that is better than feeling lonely sleeping in the same bed with someone who just doesn't care anymore. Being close is no guarantee..... If you ain't willing to suffer and endure for what you desire....then you want convenience.... An eye opener for me. ![]() ![]() On the verge of giving up in this LDR but my man constantly eases negative feelings I sometimes have about this...bracing myself for a longer battle ![]() |

I'm not sure if distance can kill love, but most of us need some sort of physical contact (even if a hug) in a relationship. Not being there in person can create all kinds of issues. Personally I need a person to be living close to me for me to want to start a relationship, otherwise it's kind of a joke. I don't live in dreamy dreamy land so I can't imagine falling for somebody far away, but I know that many others on dating sites can. I'm too much of a realist. I don't believe that people can be so rarely wonderful that I would'nt be able to find one nearby. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Josie, you sound like someone else I know (at least she is in private). And now I feel the same way about her. ![]() It's a great feeling, isn't it? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sometimes, people are to scared to take the chance or arnt ready to commit, and if one is and one isnt then it's hard and wont work, only friendship will. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I understand, Luis....but who knows? Things could change. If not, there must be someone else out there for you. In the meantime, you have all of us.

If your man still soothes you with a simple call.....you are headed in the right direction. Distance is never easy......ask the men who discovered new worlds. |

Thank you guys ![]() There is no need for any sort of analytical responses , and forget about those who do the "you may/you may not" sort of thing, because that will leave you where you are right now. Here is the answer: yes It will die off after a while and it will go off faster, the longer you won't see him. Emails, chit-chats, phone calls are no substitute either. Forget about the whole thing, if you or your loved one has no plans and no way to move together within months. |

After all this time, we still disagree on this matter.....Captain and I are still together and still 2500 miles apart after 3 1/2 years. ![]() ![]() |

Others wouldn't be comfortable in that sort of relationship. No offense. ![]() |
