I have almost been hit twice by somebody who was driving and talking. Talking and driving is my BIGGEST pet peeve. If you need to talk PULL OVER! There is nothing important enough to risk your life and the lives of others. You should here me flip out if somebody tries to use there cell while I am in the car. When you get behind the wheel of a car, you are there to concentrate on the road, not get your grocery list for tonights supper.

If I have the time to spare (or waste, as the case usually is), I will pull over somewhere. As a normal rule, I will just ignore phone calls while I'm driving, unless I'm on a long trip, then I'll have the headset in my ear. I don't care if it's the President, he can wait. No conversation is worth not paying attention to the road, and nobody is so important (or SELF-important) that they need to be on the phone while they're behind the wheel.

In the event my son's school calls, yes, but I have a wireless bluetooth and he is a severe epileptic

Ninety percent of the time that these....people....are on the phone while driving is just for pure foolishness.

I might answer the phone and say that I'm driving. But, I don't stay on the phone. Definitely don't want to be like those who are yapping away on their phones, swerving all over the road.

And smoke, drink coffee, check the GPS, and I wish had manual transmission so I would have something to do with my other hand
