I have, yes, when getting directions. But not as a general rule.

I got myself one of them bluetooths so I could talk while drivin and keep both hands on the wheel. I do refrain from textin while drivin.

I'm very guilty of it when stuck in traffic, but I have a bluetooth headset.

Seriously, I honestly believe it should be outlawed without a hands-free setup of some sort.
First fine, $100, to double for each subsequent offense ($200 the second time, $400 the third time, $800 the fourth time, and so on). |

Or, the ones constantly slowing down and speeding up cause they're on the phone, not paying attention. And, the ones who can't stay in their own lane while talking on the phone and texting. |

Don't have a cell or a car so no problem for me but I have been hit on my bike (only a nudge) by someone talking on a cell and got close call to many times to count. People are on another planet when on a cell so please do not talk and drive at the same time a life is more important than a phonecall.

 Cells I don't mind so much and I do think they serve a good purpose for emergencies. It's the folks that use them like they were born with them attached to their heads that rile me....nothing and no one is that dang important.
