Country music has gone through a change. That is a fact. But, it is adjusting to the "new" crowd and what is popular now a days. The old music is being challenged, and like always, its always up to the fans what is "popular" and what is not. I do miss the harmonies of like the Statler Brothers and Oakridge Boys. Then again, I am not "mainstream". i guess. nowadays, you put on a cowboy hat and poof! your a cowboy. bs. id like to get kenny chesny on a horse and take him out on the rounds for a day. |

I like the new country. Rock music has gotten too damn whiny, rap will forever suck, so country is "normal" music for people who just want to listen to something thats not dumb.

Country isn't country anymore.
Its all built up to teenagers and college kids....lol, but,,even THAT story isn't correct for MOST of this real life out here..lol THEN, ya got the country bands that THINK there ROCK STARS and their music sounds way to heavy to feel it or think they are playing country..lol Oh well,,everything changes and grows.. |

Oh please. It goes in cycles, just like any other music. Back when I was growing up and being force fed country music by my mother...it was Conway Twitty and Tammy Whineass ( Whoops...meant Wynette ) and George Jones depressing the HELL out of everyone. Eventually, country music will get back to being whiny. |

"Well, I was drunk the day my Mom got outta prison.
And I went to pick her up in the rain. But, before I could get to the station in my pickup truck She got runned over by a damned old train. " Now what could be so depressing about them lyrics? |
