k i got a good one. does anyone else think country music is getting....fruity? its all about college parties or fast cars now. i think modern day country singers kinda forgot the "country" part when they signed on. i mean rascle flats..comeon! boyband!

Yeah. Most country music has gone the way of people like Tim McGraw other totally commercial acts. the days of REAL country acts like Willie Nelson, Kris Kristopherson, and Hank Williams are pretty much numbered. There IS Hank Williams III, but he's more of a punk/country melange. At least he STILL tells it like it is, though. |

All genres of music is changing, just not country. That's why I don't waste my time listening to the new stuff. I couldn't tell you what the top songs are even if I had a million dollars riding on it.
I only listen to classics. That's when music was actually good. |

I break out some old Rock and suprising how much its sounds just like todays Country music. |

Country music has gone through a change. That is a fact. But, it is adjusting to the "new" crowd and what is popular now a days. The old music is being challenged, and like always, its always up to the fans what is "popular" and what is not. I do miss the harmonies of like the Statler Brothers and Oakridge Boys. Then again, I am not "mainstream".
