Cleaning out infected wounds is a job not for the wimpy. The smell alone will bring a grown man to his knees.

I had to do some popcorn effects for a show called "Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher" a little over a decade ago-

We were simulating a popcorn machine going bonkers in a school, which spews a torrent of popcorn all over the place.

By the time we were done, the entire studio was covered knee-deep in popcorn. Nasty, browned popcorn, stained from all the crew people trying to step over it.

I had popcorn kernel skins in my hair for weeks after that job... rant

A few weeks after I moved to the city, I had to do the dishes at the place where I lived. The plates were piled to the ceiling. Little did I know when I accepted the duty was that one of my roommates had left a "gift" for me underneath the mountain of bowls and cups: An off-brown resin that lined the sink. For 20 minutes, I cleaned that sink, subduing the gag reflex the whole while. I later found out that the off-brown resin had once been peanut butter.ill

A few years before that, I, my dad and my uncle were tearing down an old storage shed by hand. The storage shed was older than I was, and the lining of the walls were saturated with little mouse turds.

The only positive part of that job was that I got to wear gloves so my hands didn't get covered in rat feces. And that I can't smell worth a damn, so the odiferous scent didn't really bother me none.laugh

I was about 15 or so, and I was the guy that cleaned out the A&K porta potties one summer...um yeah...that had to be the worst. Even now, as a surveyor, I still have to pop open the sanitary sewer manholes and check inverts on some. The smell isn't that bad, as I hold my breath (the methane being an IDLH and all) but I HATE cockaroaches!! They love to hang out in the manholes. sick

Worked at a butcher for over 2 years. The worse part of the job was the scrap barrels that came back after the truck emptied them. A weeks worth of radom animal parts in a 50gal trash can... pretty awful smelling. If you wondering, the worse smelling rotten animal parts has to go the the lamb. Opened up a bad pack of leg of lamb one day... almost puked on the spot. Dirty job, yes.

I work with fiberglass every day. It's itchy and covers you, but not as disgusting as most of these by any means.
