HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO KNOW IF THERE MIGNT BE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN
YOU? IS THERE SOMETHING SPECIAL YOU LOOK FOR? OR DO IS IT JUST A FEELING? To me I call tell within the first date. By the way the conversation goes, eye contact, things we have in common , humor, and how easy the conversation seems to flow. And how they handle themselves. |

how the conversation goes, how "at ease" we are just talkin and gettin
to know eachother, the humor in the conversation, eye contact, the things we have in common, how confortable he is, and if he's capable of touching me.. sittin on park bench, talkin and laughin, about nothing in particular, and something funny is said, he leans over to move my hair outta my face...that's a great date right there..lol |

with a hug, a touch and eyes, I can tell if there is chemistry

I'd have to agree w/ Morena on this one. First-dates are often enough so
weirdly-arranged that they cant be anything close to "realistic". You can tell if the chemistry is bubblin' by a touch. If you get a tingle by touching her hand, or if your body still has a warm glow from a short & quick "goodbye" hug long after she's dissapeared, then you know that the chemistry is a definite YEAH BABY! I've had a couple "first dates" where the conversation was great, and really engaging, four hours passed in such a short moment, but, there was no "chemistry". I dunno why. The ladies were attractive, engaging, thoughtful, but, mutually, we realized there wasnt anything 'special' there. That was odd. I am willing to bet that if I were to accidentally run into one of those ladies, we'd probably spark. (mmmm maybe) I think it was the "weirdness of the 1st date" syndrome. So, I try not to put much into "1st dates". |

I will hopefully have my first date with someone soon, this
summer........We already have chemistry....We're able to see each other through a web cam and talk on a mic.......And there's definate chemistry there, no doubt.......I just can't wait until we're face to face. |

I had the same experience Petitekitten. We talked through e-mail at 1st,
then the phone, then a web cam. We had chemistry from the start. When I saw Suzy face to face, we had rockets red glare!! Good luck to you. Chemistry is extremely personal between 2 people. Alot is a certain "feeling", but for me and Suzy, it was like we met 30 years ago and knew each other since. We actually met 3 months ago, but we had so much in common, it was apparent that the feeling was there. |

I believe that instant "chemistry" can and does occur between two
people, but that "chemistry" does not equate to "love." Love takes time to grow and flourish. Having "chemistry," however, is the spark that starts the "flame of love." |

I've always found chemistry to be instant or discovered fairly quickly.
I agree this isn't necessarily love. |

You can lock eyes across the room with a person and feel instant
chemisty......it's an amazing feeling! |

|
True chemistry is not the same as love. It is more of when two people
just seem to connect. |

Thing about chemistry is sometimes the mixture can be pleasing at first,
but in actuality it's toxic and volatile. Chemistry is tricky, because while you can get along with people, it doesn't mean that emotionally you are a participant. Laughing, joking and talking isn't all their is to bonding/"having chemistry"- you have to be able to genuinely EMPATHIZE with that person. I know some amazing ladies whom I have a lot in common. We have fun, talk, play-everything you would do with friends. Considering that "chemistry" that we share, you would think, "Why not date your friend?" Well, you wouldn't date your friend. Friends have chemistry sure, but they generally lack that sexual tension that makes those chemically charged relationships so interesting. |

Chemistry is so much fun, but you have to keep it in check. I love the
fun part though. michael |

You should be careful about chemistry.
Sometimes the wrong components mix and there is an explosion! |

Chemistry is pretty easy for me to detect early on, definitely by the
first date. |
