Did anyone see Al Gore's movie "An inconvenient truth?" (I didn't.) What do you think about all this severe cold weather we have going on here in America? |

I have not seen the movie.
I live in vermont...winters are cold. There doesn't seem to be much difference between this winter and any other winter. |

A better term to use instead of global warming is "climate change". Weather patterns are changing all over the world. Some areas colder, some warmer. The over all temp is rising enough to threaten the Artic regions. Rain and snowfall patterns are changing (the west is getting dryer) I remember a few years ago Gore had to cancel a talk on "Global Warming" because of a blizzard in NYC. |

Did anyone see Al Gore's movie "An inconvenient truth?" (I didn't.) What do you think about all this severe cold weather we have going on here in America? Cold happens. Look back at the records and it's not much ( if any ) worse now than it has been in the past. Funny thing about that movie...some of the charts he was using to show his point of view, when read properly, actually did exactly the opposite of what was intended. Here in Michigan....all the cold and snow has been a good thing over the last couple of years. The lake levels are coming back up a bit. |

the movie and the vast majority of work he's been associated to have next to no impact on science.
the big global warming scare was originally rooted in a w2k bug on nasa's probes around the planet. it was once suspected that every year (in the late 90s) was continuously breaking the records for high temperatures...people took this and built it into a big scary thing.... meanwhile, some kid figures out the error in nasa's code. the data is corrected, and SURPRISE - 1934 was the hottest year on record! (not 1998) yes, climate patterns change - this is nothing new yes, the ozone holes come and go - this is also nothing new long story short - caring for the environment is important...but listening to mass media or politician scare-tatics is normally a bad idea |

Did anyone see Al Gore's movie "An inconvenient truth?" (I didn't.) What do you think about all this severe cold weather we have going on here in America? Al Gore's "documentary" is nothing more than a money-making scheme not unlike those Barak Obama specialty plates The Franklin Mint will sell you for $29.95. He essentially partnered up with his studio buddies (the same ones Gore's partner-in-crime Bill Clinton helped when he signed NAFTA into law back in 10/2003) come up with pro-planet propaganda meant to sell movies and push the farce that is "extremist environmentalism". Should we take care of the environment? Absolutely. But NOT via shoddy free-trade legislation designed to pass off our environmental responsibilities to some third-world country for the same of the all mighty dollar, which have nothing in the way of environmental laws in the first place. And the LAST thing we should do is listen to the self-important ramblings of a politician and his poorly-researched documentary... a documentary that has been thoroughly debunked by the scientific community, to boot. |

Antarctica's losing 30 something miles of ice each year. I'm counting on it. I bought property in Arizona figuring that between the rising sea levels and the big earthquake knocking California into the sea, I'll have ocean front property one day. |

Antarctica's losing 30 something miles of ice each year. Now ask yourself. In the ideal environment for life on this planet, are the polar ice caps necessary? The earth already looks much different than it did 40 years ago, from space. I've yet to see any actual evidence that the changes to this planet are actually bad for us. |

You are right, it's a good thing we aren't polar bears though. |
