Wow! Not a good way to be starting out a new year. So glad your injuries were not more serious, Lex. Hate it that your car was totaled though and about having to move, but really glad you're still around to tell us about it!

Venting in progress.... So, this morning I'm making a left turn and a bus plows into my car. Head-on collision. Car is totaled. I mean, completely totaled. I spent all morning in the hospital being X-rayed and IV'ed and everything else they could think of. Results are "inconclusive" but I've got some serious back pain and a sheet full of prescriptions to get. In addition, there's something wrong with my right wrist and I've got a headache the size and shape of Germany. They told me I would have been dead without the airbag. Frankly, I'm not so sure it wouldn't have been better that way. My friend picked me up at the hospital and we went to see what's left of my car. They wouldn't even let me take anything out of it (and there's a LOT of valuable stuff in there) until I come back with a release from the Police Dept. Shortly thereafter, I found out that the place I've been renting isn't even owned by the guy I've been paying rent to, and now I have to move again. You want to talk about reasons to be cynical....? your alive thats all that matters

Sorry to hear that Lex. I think I'll quit my whining. At least for the rest of the day. I don't know what to write here but I do know that you should look at the glass as half full. Unless you're wanting your glass to be dry. It's a really good thing that you're such an easy going, fun loving guy with a head on your shoulders. And I'm sure you'll take these lemons and make lemonade...... Glad you're ok. I don't know how I'd get by without your rapier wit in "One Glorious Profile".

(((((( Lex )))))) Thank God you are okay. That's a horribly tough day and it really is amazing you weren't killed. I see a big lawsuit in your future though .. cynicism turned to opportunity eh? I really do hope they take care of you

Dang...Glad you're ok....... They say, things happen for a reason, but the don't have to be so dang rough about it, do they.. Its just the healing, and the aggravation of it all... Take a hot bath every chance you get, take you're meds...and deal with it all, when you get to feeling better....
