Venting in progress....

So, this morning I'm making a left turn and a bus plows into my car. Head-on collision. Car is totaled. I mean, completely totaled.

I spent all morning in the hospital being X-rayed and IV'ed and everything else they could think of. Results are "inconclusive" but I've got some serious back pain and a sheet full of prescriptions to get. In addition, there's something wrong with my right wrist and I've got a headache the size and shape of Germany.

They told me I would have been dead without the airbag. Frankly, I'm not so sure it wouldn't have been better that way.

My friend picked me up at the hospital and we went to see what's left of my car. They wouldn't even let me take anything out of it (and there's a LOT of valuable stuff in there) until I come back with a release from the Police Dept.

Shortly thereafter, I found out that the place I've been renting isn't even owned by the guy I've been paying rent to, and now I have to move again.

You want to talk about reasons to be cynical....?

Awwww. I'm so glad you're not dead. That's nothin.....be glad you don't have a headache the shape of Kazakhstan.....those are murder!!!

I know this is probley not what you want to hear, knowing the cynical nature of your posts... but everything material can be replaced with time/money. Your life however can not be. So at the end of the day be glad you are still kicking.
