It would depend on your preference of hard wood vs soft wood and then of course the aroma of the wood you were looking for

Being that African Mahogany is a relatively hard wood, it can be shaped in a multitude of ways for a multitude of purposes, including wood and even musical instruments. Being that I'm a musician, I'd probably shape the wood into whatever instrument I play.
