My best friends wouldn't fill a room.

so has anybody ever felt like they are invisible even though they are in a full room of their best friends? I have always said even in a room full of people I will always be alone. It has nothing to do with who your around physically, it has to do with what you have in common with them and if you share some of the same experiances and feelings. |

More than I'd like to admit.
You can easily remedy that though... if you feel invisible, do something REALLY stupid... someone's bound to notice you and not live it down for the rest of your life. Then you'll just wish you were invisible. |

That means that you are not in a room full of friends, just a room full of people.. You need to leave that room, call that one person who you know will be there and join him/her.

It's only happened to me one time. Years ago I went to the bar with all my friends and decided that I wasn't going to drink any more that night. It was like I was viewed as an outsider. I had fun, but it was a totally different experience for me.
And I learned two things that night. One, I didn't need alcohol to have fun, and two, the people who I thought were okay to be around when they were drunk, really weren't all that fun. Have never drank since then and don't miss it. |

Being the designated driver is one of the best things a friend could be. All of my friends know that I will get them home and all of the local bartenders put on a fresh pot of coffee as soon as I walk in. |
