probably a cuban!!! The best lobster I ever had was there.....fresh off a rickety old boat and served with garlic butter and grapefruit....mmmmmmmmmm:tongue:

People have been calling me up asking when I'm going to make ambrosia again. Deep batter fried shrimp, chicken, and lobster covered in shaved carrots, green peppers, pineapple chunks and a flaming pressed boiled cherry sauce. Omg its good. But I told those people I don't have the $200 to make it, nor the time.


noway I've never heard of such a thingnoway
...boy are you a virgin. The batter and sauce has to be just right or it sucks. As I said- very time consuming.

Fresh water lobster are the best. But I lean towards saltwater mexican lobster and langastinos. I can cook with them. Fresh water lobster and crab are best with just butter and lite vinegars. Damn I need to get my cooking thread going again.

Ive had some good mexican lobster and bad mexican lobster. The lobster at the resorts are crap!!!

A friend of mine and I went to a very fancy restaurant in Mexico a few years back........4 course dinner with platters of all kinds of lobster, crab, everything you could imagine.....2 bottles of wine. I think it cost us $100..... bigsmile

Remember my funny saturday morning cooking show? When I first came on here? I shoulda kept it going. The only problem was the middle aged detractor closed minded b!tches that quipped in those "That's not the way I do it". Or they would quip "You're doing it wrong- you HAVE to do it like this"! So I gave it up because I'm too nice to say "F*ck you- my cooking show b!tch!!! Not yours!!! Shut the f*ck up or I will take this cleaver and my next entree will be you"!!!!! Instead I just said "That's nice".
