oo lets hold them a fair constitutional trial..bring the soldiers and marines that captured them over here...pull out all the stops.

do our BEST to convict them in front of a jury of lawabidding american citizens.

idc...I would hope the result would be the same.

would that make y'all happy?
let obama represent them

If they were captured by soldiers then they are POW's.
If they are POW's then they should be in a POW camp and afforded every rite accorded by the Geneva Convention.

Just as we would expect for our soldiers.

I am not an expert, but doesn't only pertain to uniformed enemies of a particular nation? Terrorists are not established uniformed armies for any country...except Palistine.

American militia men had no uniforms. Nor did the Palmach unless you consider the number of times they impersonated British soldiers.
Every Army is not afforded the expense to buy uniforms for their soldiers but that does not mean they are not an Army. Some have nothing more than a cause and the balls to put their life on the line for that cause.
If you read the charges on some of those at Gitmo, what few have actually been charged, you would notice that many were captured during or after combat.
Soldiers captured on the field of battle---POW's!!!

Many who call for the sacrifice of our young men and women have never sacrificed or put their life on the line for America. They are hollow citizens, without courage or heart. All they have are words and Rhetoric.....
False Patriotism....

If serving peach cobbler is torture, I'm in!!

Peach cobbler? Perhaps you are not aware of the kind of torture and abuse these captured prisoners are enduring, are you? In order to get away with breaking International Laws governing the proper and humane treatment of prisoners of war, as well as civilian captives in times of war (as the Bush administration did not recognize the Taliban and Al Quaida serving under a legitimate government and thus NOT P.O.W.'s!)the U.S. government has kept these "enemy combatants" outside of U.S. soil. Read up on the Geneva Convention and you'll see that the Bush administration has been engaging in unlawful and inhumane treatment of these human beings.

It does not really matter what the intentions of these prisoners were. If we start acting like them, then we become no better than them.

Were you there?

...I thought not.

Your post is meaningless...

HUH? No one else wants to be tortured with Peach Cobbler??

Ask Omar Khad if he was tortured with peach cobbler.

Despite having had charges against him dropped twice, Omar has been continuously held by the U.S. for nearly five years, much of it without being charged or provided access to lawyers. Moreover, it remains the position of the U.S. government that even if acquitted by a military commission, Omar could remain imprisoned at Guantánamo for the rest of his life.

Even innocent they'd hold him. Great system.frown frown
