I tried to do better or worse.

He broke his vows before I did.

He left.

And yes, I plan on remarrying.

And having more kids.

And sticking to my vows like I did last time.

that's great because you stay positive! flowerforyou

I have spent MOST of my life in a relationship.

Even my teen life..Three years ingaged..lol:heart:

So I find single living depressing, and a waste of every minute
that is only shared by my self...

BUT STILL, I would rather DIE single, than to go through a living hell relationship again...

All I am saying is I want to re-mary but this time without the "going thru a living hell" part, is it possible? drinker

not too long ago, less than half a century...look at your grandparents if they're still alive, they are probably still married...we changed what marriage is all about. smitten

My grandparents were married for over 60 yrs. My parents just celebrated their 50th this past summer.

If it is the wrong person marriage bites.

If it is the right person it is so worth it I can't really put it into totally accurate words.

Even on the "bad" days, and being human you are just going to have bad days, it is still better than not being married. Even when they aren't there you don't feel alone. Not in the way that they are breathing down your neck just stronger and more balanced on a solid foundation. You feel like finally you know your purpose and know the real meaning of love. Tomorrow takes on a whole new meaning.

I feel so sorry for people who don't get blessed with being married to the right person but I hope I can give people the curiosity to get over their disbelief.

I kid you not I thought after the majority of my life experience it was just some stupid fairy tale crock. I am probably the most independent person you will ever meet. Been trough so many things without a flinch. I didn't think I needed it no how no way. If ever anyone got financially screwed it was me but if I could have one more day of the kind of married life I had I would give you my last dime and cut both feet off.

That's because it's so much easier to just throw in the towel today. You have an argument, you get pissed off, and you say, "Screw it." Nobody wants to do the "for better, for worse" thing anymore.

its sad...nobody wants to actually work for anything..everyone wants it handed to them

you never get what you want if you expect it to be handed to you...

SO true.. So if we want the real thing, just have to be willing to work for it, can't change the world, but at least we can prevent ourselves from falling to that level of thinking

is just for having kids...after you do that..you don't need to marry anymore...shacking up for awhile is the best...or just visiting when the need arises...does anyone agree?

Well my mom lived with her boyfriend for over 20 years but they got married a few years ago for insurance purposes, so I guess marriage especially when you are older may be advantageous still.

I am not the marrying type, I believe commitment happens without the paperwork.

Yep. pretty much the way all of the life values have been changed. Now our children are killing each other in school, among other disasters.

To be REAL with ya..
The HELL part only can happen if YOU ALLOW IT TO..

I know that NOW,,,but I didn't then..

ITS your thoughts man..
TRY not 'thinking' marriage,,,think friend,relationship...
THEN, if 'THAT' turns into the thought of marriage for the both of you,,,COOL...
But I NEVER have a starting thought of looking for a wife,,,just someone I call friend who might be able to feel more than that in our hearts.
You just need to go slow and be sure before ya jump,,,
Good luck....drinker drinker

<<<Hopeless romantic.

I still think there is some ONE person out there for me. Been engaged but never made it to the alter....I'm always the bridesmaid and never the bride.

Marriage isn't just for having children. You do not have to be married to do that.

I have been married, not all it's cracked up to be. Plus, I would never want religion in my life like that again.

I think marriage is useless...why in the bloody hell do I have to be in front of gobs of people whom I don't even know, never will see again, and could honestly not care if I do know to pronounce my love for someone (this is subjective as love is a tricky situation for me)?

You can have kids just fine without marriage, and the relationship will statistically last longer...you can buy a house just fine without marriage, and upon breaking up you can each come to a mature decision on how to deal with living situations...you can own a dog, end all, no need for marriage.smokin
