As many as U know I am a Veteran and have been haunted for many years why some of my friends died in what was a senseless war. After watching our new President take the Oath and listening to his words and watching the tears and smiles of countless Americans in that gorgeous event, now I know they did NOT die needlessly but helped paved the way to one of the GREATEST days in our History, January 20th, 2009!!!I am so full of pride again for the GREATEST country in the world, the U.S.A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just told a friend, for once in my adult life, I feel like I can begin to breath again. I do see hope and I see promise....I somehow feel safer now....and truly feel like an American...proud, strong and determined.

Personally I don't believe we were on the wrong track. I just think we had more to deal with, and maybe not all of it was dealt with in a fashion we agree with or had the results we wanted. Who is to say if someone else was leading the country at the time we wouldn't have had the same result. Lets just hope we do not have to deal with the issues of the past in the future.
