Always remember we do live in the Best place that we could no matter how bad it may seem at times. There are other countries that have it far worse then we do and have never felt the comforts we have.

As many as U know I am a Veteran and have been haunted for many years why some of my friends died in what was a senseless war. After watching our new President take the Oath and listening to his words and watching the tears and smiles of countless Americans in that gorgeous event, now I know they did NOT die needlessly but helped paved the way to one of the GREATEST days in our History, January 20th, 2009!!!I am so full of pride again for the GREATEST country in the world, the U.S.A!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautifull said.... |

Its about many different nations coming together as one and doing their best to workout the differences. Its about democracy and freedom. Its about the only multidimensional government in the world. Its about separation of State and government. Its about helping and caring. Its about so much more than you would probably even understand!! |

You know, the greatest gift we could give ourselves as a nation is to respect the office of President regardless of our feelings of the person and to respect our military who defend our lives and our freedom without being asked what they think or if they agree. If we would all pull together and work towards a common goal instead of fighting with each other and pointing fingers just think of all that would be accomplished!!

Our consitition as stood the test of time though revisions and additions. It stands as "a model of cooperative statesmanship and the art of compromise." The sweat and tears of the civil rights movement made it possible for my parents to live the American dream. Yes, I am proud to be an American. And I give thanks to all those who have serve in the armed forces. Mikey, thank you for a wonderful post! |

I have been to a lot of places around the world...and I always kiss the ground when I land back on American soil....We are truly the luckiest nation in the world...And especially woman....I do a lot of work with women's right in other countries and bar non we are the luckiest....I could tell you some pretty bad stories of what women have to endure in other countries.
