Instead of thinking everyone is bowing down to Obama and praising him, calling him the man of the year and such...think of it this way.

America is one of the greatest countries in the world.
It's been so long since we've had a leader that can MATCH what this country is about and what it stands for. Now that we DO, people are misinterpreting him as being a great leader when in fact he is exactly what we need.

Many Americans, in desparation, seem him as our last, best hope. The really scary thing is that they may be right.

Actually I'm kinda sick of the Bush bashing that I've had to listen to. Peoples memory in this country sucks. I'd like to know anyone as president who could have been faced with 911 without making mistakes. It's the first time since the war of independance our mainland has been attacked. So you name the presidents that have ever face that situation. Was he supposed to just accept it? People would bash him for doing nothing. Our economy wasnt bad until the banks started loaning money to people with a morgage of $2500.00/ month with incomes of $3000.00/ month and opec was the other thing that ruined our economy. Personally I'm happy just for the fact that because of Bush, we havent been hit by one single attack in this country since 911 and so should every other american citizen!

Mr Obama will undoubtably destroy the patriot act leaving us as vulnerable as Clinton left us. Oh there will be change in our country but not the change all the people praising the man are hoping for.

his 'mistakes' almost cost us a whole lot more than bad mortgages and financial crisis
it's too bad the people couldn't impeach presidents

i just wanted to know why he didn't stick to the war at hand then.

instead of bashing another president (as you say many do) before he even gets his feet wet....how about having a little faith in who was elected and IF he proves to be such a bad president...THEN i'll even join you in bashing him.

DAMN STRAIGHT!

Obama's election is a knee jerk reaction to the real problems we are facing!

Why? Is he a great leader? The man just got inaugurated! Give it some time, so we can see what kind of leader is he.

Incorrect.

On February 23, 1942, the oil refinery at Ellwood near Santa Barbara, California, was shelled by a Japanese submarine using its 5.5 inch deck gun. This was the first attack on the U.S. mainland. Then on June 7, Japanese soldiers invaded the U.S. Aleutian Islands off Alaska and remained there until American troops retook the islands in May 1943

His beginning potential and beginning actions speak mountains compared to what we've been through lately. And yes, I think he has DAMN good potential of being a great leader. So does Time Magazine...so does about 70% of America...and many of the other countries that frowned on us in recent previous years.

Alright, then America must be a nation of no significance or prior achievements, but with some great potential.

Ah, I got it now. You're saying that Obama is a great match for Iraq, right?
