At 8.30am here the temperature is 21 degrees. I don't recall now, how to do the conversion to the "old money" and if I wasn't being so slack, I could talk to everybodies friend, Mr. Google, who would tell me .Currently we have a gentle air from the North West, around 15kph. For those of you who have an interest in such things,if this "gentle air" gets up,it will become the well known "Nor Wester" of Canterbury.Apparently, there is 4/5 winds known to meteorologists by name.I have managed to forget most of them although "The Mistral" is another. The "Nor Wester" at full noise moves right along @140/160 kph.Does sure make life interesting.

Sorry, I should have made it clearer, sooner. I live in Kaiapoi, North Canterbury. This is on the East Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.(about12/15 miles north of Christchurch) We are currently observing "Daylight Saving Time" and the time now is 9.40 am on Saturday 7/3/09

I saw where Texas is getting record high temps for this time of year!
Just hope they don't stay record high all through the summer.
