I think you will see invitations of diplomacy go out to countries that Bush has refused to even talk to. I think you will see opportunities for peace come from this that you never dreamed you would see. I think that while remaining Israels friend he will also reach out with common and equal friendship to the Palestinians. I think we may yet see a peaceful Palestine emerge with the equality that only they have held out hope for. yikes you're setting the bar pretty high none of the last 10 Presidents were able to come close to that EDIT: although Carter got peace between Egypt and Israel, look at what it cost sadat |

The feedback I've heard from other countries so far is that they are so excited for America and the world in that we actually have someone who can DO something good. |

Its his actions over the next few years I think he is gonna turn out to be a decent President. Maybe even a great one. But I don't put much stock in all the "walk on water" rhetoric |

No, I don't believe he can walk on water either...but damn it! He sure as hell has got some serious intention to do so! |

I was hoping for a good historic quote like "Fourscore and seven years ago..." "Ask not what you can do..." "The only thing we have to fear..." maybe we'll get something like that out of it "We remain a young nation, but in the words of scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness." This is the part that stood out to me. |

oh no they are praying my Jewnet stop streaming the inauguration right when the preacher stepped to the mic and didn't come back on till after Aretha had already started singing. That's a shame. |

He is an eloquent speaker, he has a charismatic presence. The speech was inspiring, but I will wait before I get too excited. My gut tells me that the crew that just left still has much power behind the scenes. (I mean Cheny & GHW Bush, I don't think GW actually ever had much)

i do wonder what happens when he starts to fallback on his campaign promises. i mean surely he doesnt seriously plan to do some of the things he has said.
who knows...watch, wait, and wonder. he doesnt get my endorsement...but i do respect the office that he sits in. |

hahahahahaha he screwed up the oath the biggest moment of his life and he stumbled Dude, just think if you were in his place... do you really think you could pull it off? Nope. I would have passed out before I even got to the Limo. He not only was being sworn into office as President, which is monumentos for ANYBODY, but he was creating history! |

Rush just said that the crowd and it's reaction ...seemed like Walmart...the day after Christmas...lol That just shows how little Rush knows. People are trampled and act terrible at Walmart on those mornings. |
