That's why it's better to pursue the career first before getting into a relationship.
 It really balls down to the type of career it is. If the career is a traveling type, then yes I would have to make that choice of marriage or career. I would choose marriage in this case. But if it's a career where you are not traveling...or don't have to travel, I wouldn't see why pursuing a career and marrying can't happen.
