Countdown our family dog....Well ok the name...lol My parents got this spitz/chow mix the day I was born. My father worked for Nasa and actually did the countdowns for all the Apollo and Mariner launches...hence his name. Amazing amazing dog he was. He lived to be 16 and everyday my mom would hid 5 sugar cookies how he knew how many no one knows, but he would not stop until everyone was found, also would take him to 31 flavors and if he could eat the ice cream cone in one bite we got all our ice cream free....Countdown never failed this task. He was never fat and lived to be 18 years old.

I had many cats and dogs when I was young, and they each had their own personalities and character traits, all unique and independent of each other. Favoritism wasn't an option, as I loved them all. My absolute favorite didn't come into my life until I was 20 years old, and she stayed with me for the next 20 years.

Awwww I am loving these

I also at least in California the only person to legally own a cat...Because the wander you can't legally own...And I took Un Coche Nueva (new motor) prrr from her abusive owners and then went to court and legally took them from her.

I can't count all the feral's over the last 30 years....but lots and lots....

It wasn't a pet but there was this little wren that used to come to the window frequently where I lived. Surviving in what seemed to me most of the time incredible odds. With little or nothing it was still like giving up was not an option. A lot of times when I seemed most discouraged it would come around and leave a feather of what I came to know as hope. All God's creatures seem to have that ability. Makes me think we should with all we have do as much.

I actually had two pet mice as a child. One was Barney and the other was Bimbo. I was always fascinated with their behavior and loved to watch them run around in their cage.

Also had tons of cats. They were cool too.

A ferret named Bud. One of the most playful pets I have ever had. If you would leave a pair of gloves down were he could get them, he would always take the right hand glove. He would never take the left hand glove

Black German Shepard with a white diamond shaped patch on his chest. He was the smartest, most beautiful, and most protective animal I've ever owned.

My pet deer named Tiny..she was 12 lbs when we found her. Had her for 4 years. She would ride in the back of the pickup with the dog when my dad checked the cattle, run with us when we rode horses, climb haystacks, root for candy from our pockets..she was so much fun. She grew to be over 200 lbs..fun fond memories of her! flowerforyou
