Face it, the word "conservative" has been so thoroughly corrupted that it cannot possibly fit you anymore, even in your attempts to carefully re-redefine it back to what it means to you. It might be time to call yourself something else rather than have to explain that you're not a Palin-style maniac.

I personally just tack the word "real" on the front of it. It really pi$$e$ off the so called Social Conservatives and the NeoCons.

It basically just means redneck now

I am one of those "Real Conservatives" but it doesn't piss me off to put real in front of it..I am socially as well as financially conservative..much more the the so called conservatives in Washinton..

"Conservative" means "not progressive".

Democrats (another misdirection in terms, they should have called themselves commies) took the term "progressive" for themselves, to underline that anything that is not in agreement with their policies, is stale, not progressive, outdated.

It's no different if you and I are coming for a debate and I introduce myself as say, "Mr. Good and Smart".

Conservatives, always being a bit dim-witted, and very authoritarian, didn't quite see the insult. They picked up the term "Conservative", to underline that while they do not like to progress, they would like to "preserve", not just suffer the nothingness.

There is nothing conservative about conservatives, and definitely, nothing progressive about commies.

I understand the word is difficult for progressives, liberals and the intellectual elite to understand, but if progress is destruction of moral standards I live by, if progressive means giving up my freedoms to become dependant on the goverment for things I cannot acheive for myself, if progressive means anything goes, and live by no standards...then I gladly call myself a conservative. I admit that one thing I dislike about so called progressives is that they feel the need to insult those that don't share their beliefs while preaching the need to be diverse, open minded and accepting of those that don't share our idea of normal...execpt when it comes to conservatives. But then I would be broadbrushing people into categories and stereotyping..which by the progressive montra is bad..

This is because you allow for your own views that are neither progressive nor conservative, to be called something that dumb people perceive as "stale", while your enemies enjoy themselves being called "progressive" (since they are being viewed as opposing the stale), and having the people perceive them as "pursuing progress", even though their progress is in the direction of the most destructive evil of all.

The whole reason the commies called themselves "progressive" was to suggest that anyone opposing their evil deeds is none else but "opposing progress".

Democrats, thieves that they are, are naturally more creative with plays, words and perceptions. Their base is the dumb but good hearted crowd. Where the lead with conning wordplay, I would not follow. For they are better at con, and would win every time.

Does that mean anyone that can read and write? Or anyone the pursues higher education? Anyone who knows their history?

Ignorance, prejudice and fear...gee there's some swell stuff for you...it's sad indeed to see you reject some of the greatest gifts God gives to instead embrace darkness.
