Pray for the homeless and the poor right now..It's cold out, man. Help some people out...please,

Are you referring to Christian prayer? I am not a Christian. Physical action is always a much more effective choice in my opinion. Donate items for the homeless. Set aside used clothing and toys next time you clean out the closet. Other donations, such as food and cash, can also be taken to a homeless shelter. Work at a shelter. You can help feed the homeless year-round. Even people with very busy schedules can volunteer whenever it's possible.

I agree 100 percent. Prayers fall on deaf ears most times, whereas actions are noticed immediately. It does no good to see a homeless person shivering, and politely say "Good luck. I prayed for you this morning". Give em some warm food, a blanket, something!

Yes, I agree with Krimsa. Don't just sit around praying to make yourself feel better, get out and actually do something to make someone else feel better, if indeed you're in a position to do that.

I live in the sticks and there aren't any homeless people nearby me that I'm aware of. But if you know where there are homeless people why not go to a Goodwill store and buy a bunch of clothes and then take them to the homeless people and hand them out?

Sounds like a nice thing to do.

You could probably do wonders for less than $100 and you'll feel like you've spent a million bucks.

Talk is cheap. Get out there and do it yourselves.

People always have so much advice to give about what other people should do and they themselves dont do the very thing their suggesting.

I hope you all are doing something. Prayer is priceless. Always be steadfast in prayer. Pray without ceasing.

Faith without works is dead. Just dont be a hypocrite. Whatever you suggest someone should do, you do it too.

To do what we can and to pray for the homeless and those who fall on hard times crosses all intersections of belief.

We know that Yahweh hears all those who cry out and looks for us to help whatever that maybe.

If you want to pray in addition to the actual physical act of helping then that’s wonderful. I never meant to imply otherwise. I only meant prayer alone wont help and it’s insufficient. At least to me it is. However if prayer will help you to focus your physical efforts, then by all means utilize it.
