Why do some people "Play mind games" when the simplicity of truth, is,in the end,the better route? Not sure but I can only take a guess some people like to challege others as well as see where it get's them out of that relationship etc. |

because some people are childish Some people are emotionally immature. They may have childhood deficits that need filling or creating. These are people for whom support of their own efforts is not enough. In some way, shape, or form, they must be reparented or taught to reparent themselves in order to mature emotionally. |

Maybe they are mentally ill or on drugs? Could be both. And yes, in this instance, the emotional troubles may stem more from grief unresolved, and childhood neglect/traumas which have induced not only anxiety and panic, but perhaps sadness. Deep sadness. All these issues are most likely denied by the subconscious, for to admit to them would mean a daunting amount of coping ability was needed. Perhaps coping ability which an individual may not have due to ego deficits. |

Denial, rationalization, minimization, and projection are usually the ego defenses that are the culprit. When someone uses any of them too rigidly or to the exclusion of other, higher defenses, it tends to create emotional dis-ease. |
