Something that bugs the ever-lovin' sh!t outta me:

"A lot" and "no one" are both TWO WORDS, NOT ONE!!!

You don't watch "amovie", you don't drive "acar", you don't get "adrink", so why would you do anything "alot"?

"Noone"....are you talking about Peter Noone, from Herman's Hermits, or what?

Here's the one that drives me bonkers:

"It seem's I saw two dog's chewing on bone's over by the tree's."

Or when they write it "do'nt" or "ca'nt."

Third grade wasn't really THAT hard, was it?

Apparently it WAS, Lex.

I can't take it anymore... I must speak out.

You just ended a sentence with a preposition. That is something up with which I will not put.

dang, I'm busted... I was sick that day they covered prepositions.

Besides, I'm better with PROPOSITIONS. LMAO

Dang, I was just gonna post that and you beat me to it.

I'm French and learned some English in school but mostly learned it by myself so I know I still make mistakes and I'm not perfect.

I have the most respects for people that try their bests whatever the results, some people are lazy and won't do anything to improve I agree but for others it's a lot of work just to write one sentence without errors.

I raise my hat to the ones that try their best even if they have problems. I just don't like people that can only laugh at others shortcoming, not everyone is gifted in vocabulary.

Help them, give advice if ask but please don't laugh at them.

Great sentiment, but virtually impossible, because 99.9% of people will get all defensive and throw a fit about being corrected instead of doing something about it to make a positive change. Or they'll totally ignore you. Or they just won't care.

Then the people who DO care get accused of being "petty" for not just allowing it to keep happening.

Ya know, I find it ironic that folks would be surprised by folks who get defensive for being called out in an open format about a personal trait that really is no one else's business.

Being helpful is one thing, and I think the OP here was making an effort to do so, however, making snide remarks and poking fun only embarrasses folks and discourages them from posting at all. If poor language and grammar skills offend you, stay out of the thread and just move on.

I can't take it anymore... I must speak out.

For those who need to know, the proper use and spelling of these widespread errors are:

W O M A N is the singular form meaning one woman.

W O M E N is the plural form, meaning more or all

Your vs You're:

Your is the possessive... meaning it belongs or is characteristic of YOU

You're is the contraction for YOU ARE. It would be so refreshing to see them used correctly.

I'm not judging, just respectfully educating. These are extremely common errors.

I hope this helps. Done with good intentions.

Sumtims I dont spel to gud, butt long as people kan understand me, whats the diff ? I think alot of the mistakes are the result of just typing too quickly, and lack of proof reading and editing. Just be glad we all don't have a slickerdy tongue and talk and spel like Festus on Gunsmoke, but that wouldn't make no nevermind to me. I can adapt. smokin
