Yet blocks cease fire resolutions.

actually, a UN resolution was passed to encourage a cease-fire. The US, while abstaining from the security council vote, did not block the resolution.

1. Challenged the United Nations to live up to their responsibilities and not become another League of Nations (in other words, showed the UN to be completely irrelevant).

Rendered that way by the US. Who refuses to be signatory to many of the Conventions brought before them or vetoes anything that it disapproves of/may hurt a friend regardless of consequence.

2. Killed U.S. involvement in the International Criminal Court.

Only to avoid having US military answer to the Courts.

3. Told the United Nations we weren't interested in their plans for gun control (i.e., the International Ban on Small Arms Trafficking Treaty).

Lose out on all the income that generates, legally and illegally!!!!! laugh laugh

"The conduct of the Iraqi regime is a threat to the authority of the United Nations, and a threat to peace. Iraq has answered a decade of UN demands with a decade of defiance. All the world now faces a test, and the United Nations a difficult and defining moment. Are Security Council resolutions to be honored and enforced, or cast aside without consequence? Will the United Nations serve the purpose of its founding, or will it be irrelevant?"

Yet this same government torpedoes resolutions against Israel. Doesn't bother with the enforcement of others. The UN was started to improve relations between Nations not as an arm of the US government to affect other nations.

Economy ............ approaching ruin

During Bush Administration unemployment hit 2.9 Million a level not seen since 1947

It's really hard to change history when you are trying to collect.
