Add me please, and we'll talk about this one on one. I have a very strong opinion about the subject, but don't want a bad rep from either side of the fence. (if you know what I mean)

Hi, I believe we live in a throw away society. When we are done with something we throw it away. Clothes, cars, relationships. Even marriage. We believe there is always something better than what we currently have. We need to be true to ourselves and be willing to work things out when things get tough. Most of the time it is a one sided relationship, that's what brought us here in the first place. What happen to being married till death due us part. Too many wondering eyes and people peeking over the fence to check out if the grass is greener. I believe we need to get back to the Bible (Basic Instructions Before Leaving the Earth) And treat Marriage with respect.

I think there is a verse where someone asked Jesus to marry him and he said something to the affect that he didn't do marriages. He did turn water into wine at a marriage though. I can't remember who was getting married.

Hi, ya, Allen. I hope you are having a good day. My last wife who passed away said we didn't have to get married. I asked her to marry me though and it tickled her and made her happy.

(if you know what I mean) Debbie Hi Debbie, welcome here. This a forum for just Christians, so I hope that all who take part here will allow each other to voice their feelings and thoughts without condemnation. I hope you will feel comfortable enough to express your opinion. God bless, |

I'm sorry for your loss but that's a very sweet thing Rainbow. I'm glad you did. I'm big on marriage. It's the second most important covenent in my book. |

Well we are called to be salt & light so that means not letting the world weaken our resolve to live as God would want us to. Otherwise we are no better than to be trampled under foot. That's what Jesus said.
He also said be glad when people revile you for My namesake. Persecution for God's sake is not the same as persecution for making wrong choices. In the end we know it's God who makes all things work together for good. In the end we wll reap if we do not lose heart. Happy sunday to all~~~ |

I'm getting more and more interested in "common law". Our court system has been completely corrupted and common law is a way to take that power back as far as I know. I think people get a common law marriage to keep the State out of their business. Marriage is a covenant between you, your spouse, and God - the State has NO business sticking its nose in your affairs. I've heard that some people become what's called a "sovereign", then the State has no power over you at all. You don't need a drivers license, don't need to pay property tax, carry your own insurance, get rid of your SS #. I'm all for it, but sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through.

Government has no business in marriage. Marriage is of God not government. Too many good Christians use government as a tool...what they do not realize is that the same government they think they have control of will easily turn on them.
