I prefer woman with meat but i prefer a woman inner self over her meat or bones. If i could choose who i fall in love she would have meat but i fall in love with the woman that makes all of me happy not just my eyes and my .....
Okay i definitly agree with you there no question. That isn't really what this is about. This is a question of society's standards and where they have gone

It's easy it's all about economics, it's a lot easier to make clothes for skinny one shape women than curvy women and it costs less (materials).

OK I really wanna know what happened to our society and why we had this change. Look at the pinup models of the 40's and 50's. WOmen like the amazing Bettie Page. These women were amazing looking and could blow the socks off any man of their time. But now we look at the women or should i say toothpicks of today. Why did it become sexy to be so skinny ribs are visible. Why can't we go back to the days when having a little meat on your bones and being a little thick was the sexiest thing around.

AMEN, Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's very simple. Some men simply don't LIKE "meaty" women. Just because you do doesn't mean that all men should.

All men have their own opinions on what they find sexually attractive in the physical sense. Some men like a woman that they need both hands to grab one ass-cheek. Others like women with long legs that the guy can wrap around his neck three or four times. Let it go.

Yea I do not see the point of this thread unless you want to talk about the negative impacts of the perceived need to change your body type to fit a perceived archetype.

I see nothing wrong with a shift in preference, I do acknowledge and understand the damage that can be done when trying to achieve an unhealthy goal for the wrong reasons.

Bettie Page and 'a little thick' do not belong in the same sentence.

She wasn't thick at all, she was very skinny.
She was curvy. She had hips.

Around here I dunno what you mean. The women in this neck of the woods may 'say' they are 'curvy' or 'a little thick' but in reality they have to take off the cow bell to powder thier nose.

Now when it comes to fashion models ... well that entire industry baffles me. I find 99% of the clothing to be so ugly I wouldn't let the neihbor's dog wear it. The models look like tall teenage boys, with no chest and no hips.

Women like Bettie are few and far between. But then, around here anything but Rosie O'Donnel types are few and far between, unless you only date women under 20.

just a note but when betty page was a model is was also standard for the average family to have five children or more (i.e. the penchant for curvy hips..hips meant you could bear children well..) Now, children might be common but short of poverty exceptions you rarely see more than two children...from one couple

i think it has more to do with versatility. They are looking for a person that can do a wide array of poses. make up and photo shop do the rest.
