Right I do the same. In that sense I am responsible for getting at least a dozen or so guys photos added to their profiles.

Most won't add one when I ask. Or, they'll ask for my email address so they can send it. So, conversations don't last long.

Yeah thats annoying.

They don't have to have one in their profile for me..
BUT, if THEY want to meet or think about a date,,then THEY need to send me a pic by email, it THAT wouldn't happen,,,then I would NEVER feel they were REAL!

If you do not want to put a photo on your profile that is your choice. I am going to be very hesitant to bother interacting with you however.

If you are a public figure and or have some other reason not to want to post a photo you are probably going to have to prove it to me. The majority of people who don't want a photo up, or at least send a photo after a few conversations, it is because they have a spouse or significant other.

The people who give me the "I don't have a picture because I have a crazy ex." Delete. Sorry I don't need that kind of drama in my life.

After a recent experience I am following what I think is a wize example and refuseing to meet anyone I haven't seen on web cam. They are inexpensive and easy to use.

In the real world people are attracted by exterior looks and after time and energy, these looks are now not so good!

Online (dating) sites have profiles stating what and who they are with photo posted. After time and energy, profile and photo no so good.

I myself am in need of a physical being to see. I need to have face with writing.

I rate it a 5 because time will tell all lies, and time will heal all wounds!

most forum people are too immature to post real pictures.

I also don’t understand why people who have no self photos think that someone who has several will be interested in talking to them? In most cases they won’t until the effort is put forth. Especially if you are interested in meeting someone potentially.
