 How do you deal with someone who complains constantly about something but won't listen to any credible advice?

I start distancing myself from them. Not much else I can do, I guess.

Depends on how good of a friend they are.

If they're important to you, you just keep listening and keep repeating the same advice if you have to. And then, when they're hurt after not following your advice, you comfort them anyway.

Well, it depends on who the person is, I have a few people in my life like that, and I love them dearly, so, I wouldn't just walk away from them, but, sometimes you have to "love them from a distance"... if it is something that is effecting you and your personal well being, sperate yourself from that person and let them learn from their mistakes, and if that person is meant to be in your life, they will be... if not, its time to cut your losses and move on... If it isn't effecting you, do your best to help and if nothing works, the only person you can chage is you... OPTION C IS :
When the conversation starts going in a direction that you are displeased with, just pull out a pistol and wave it around, screaming jibberish... They'll get the idea...

...I beat the living sh!t out of them. Then I drive over them with my pickup truck. Then I throw em off a bridge. It keeps them from asking my advice that they won't take again.

Put your right hand on their left shoulder, and your left hand on their right shoulder, squeeze firmly, but not painfully and then shake them til their brains almost fall out and see if that wakes them up!waving
