I really only dated one person from online and I told people were I met
him... I don't care what they think .....

Sometimes I do, because I keep getting lectured about how you don't
really know the person, blah, blah, blah.......But lately I've been
keeping things to myself, in regards to friends and family. I honestly
don't care what people think anymore.

There is a certain taboo, but I ignor it. Jean is right about the
meeting wierdos in person or on the net. Just on the net there is a
different kind of etiquette that should be followed to protect yourself.
Or at least get an idea of who this person you are thinking of getting
closer to is and what they really want. Ive seen too many people,
including myself jump in even after knowing and chatting and talking on
the phone with someone, only to have it all come crashing down.
That can happen in person too, so no. It doesn't matter where you meet
someone and I don't hide it.

Never uncomfortable if someone ask where we met.

I've met one person on-line that i'm very interested in and i'm not
ashame of telling people where I met him at and even when I do they tell
me to hook them up with a on-line date LOL but anyway I think that's the
thing now
on-line dating :)

People think I'm crazy anyway. Know I can take care of myself. Kids
thought it was great, puter keeps me home more, not that they are here.

It's not so much feeling uncomfortable its the weird looks and the
comments I get after even telling others that I'm on a dating site. They
think nothing but perverts are online. lmao Think that is bad have
actually flown to meet a couple OMG explain that one to the kids. They
surely think that I have lost my mine. lmao But both times I have flown
to meet someone one relationship lastest 1 1/2. The other one was back
in Dec and we still talk to each other daily and have become real good
friends. Both times I can say I really enjoyed meeting them and had a
blast. I mean it is not like I talk to them twice and hop a plane lol
both I talked to for 2-3 months everyday before meeting them. It was
like meeting an old friend since we had talked so much prior. But
society still has not accepted the online dating as of yet. Funny thing
I had a cop tell me how I should think twice about online dating sites
and all and in the next breath tells me to look him up on myspace go
figure lmao.

when i tell people where we met they all think im crazy.. or maybe he
is.. especialy because he came all teh way across the country to meet
me.. but i dont care. when they meet him, n see him with my kids adn
with me htey understand.. oddly enuf my parents were ok with where we
met.. i think they were ok with my meting anyone as long as they dont
have to deal with my ex anymore... hehe
