I've always wondered why I receive text messages months after I stop talking to people (its why I don't give my # to strangers on dating sites anymore) or an ex that I deleted their # and wonder who the hell it is. Why do people keep #s of people they no longer are friends with, or someone they told to leave them alone? I don't get it..

Sentimental value? I don't know. I have a number in my phone I just haven't been able to delete. But I don't actually call or text it.

See with me its one and done. I generally delete #, screen name and pretty much anything associated with the person. I hate living in the past.

Personally, I keep their number so I know it's them if they call... then I can choose whether or not to take the call.

I don't get it either. Maybe it makes them feel less alone. I don't play I tell someone to leave me alone they better do it.

Also, I usually remain friends with ex's, at least I try to break up amicably.

But I never go back.

My one ex kept texting me up to 2 months after we broke up and not once did I respond. She emailed me the other night asking me for my # telling me she forgot it, and all I said was "broke my phone". My psycho ex who called/texted me up until a month after we broke up instant messaged me about a month and a half ago and gave me her # to text and I literally laughed out loud with her thinking I'd text her.
