i truly know what it like to be alone. i have been divorced for over 8 yrs and do not go to bars so i turned to the internet to meet people.i work for the state of fl as a correctional officer, which has good benfits. i do not have a 9 to 5 job or weekends off and this does not help. i live in a rural area and this is a drawback also. i have found the internet to be disappointing. people tend to be less than honest, i have found. pics posted are old and i mean old, and a lot are glamor shots. not everyone is looking for a 10, but i feel all are looking for honesty. we have all suffered our pain thru divorce or other tragedy. honesty and integrity are all we have left. i would love to meet a lady who is attractive and active, who likes the outdoors, dining out,yet, likes quiet times. not looking for a princess or cinderealla like it seems most ladies spend time looking for that knight in shining armor. you might as well try kissing frogss. sorry did not mean to ramble, just my feelings.: Hey, How are you! I'm new to this site also and like you I'm in a rural area, so I know a little about what you are going thru. I can tell you that the people on this site are not like the ones on some others. I have never met a friendlier or more welcoming group. You'll enjoy it here!

Well, my ancestors come from there. Got a feeling that son may end up there, when he retires in 4.5 years. Sarah (wife) doesn't like cold weather & was raised in Texas. I might need to find a little place down there, be close to grandkids.

After divorce, when sarah was young, mom moved to Corpus. That is where David & Sarah met, his first duty station out of boot & coreman school.

Georgia base is closer than Corpus. Subs are based out of there.

Sub bases are at the north & sout ends of both coasts. With more located around the world.

I'm about ready to give up on 'net' dating. Pictures don't always tell the truth. (I've been burned several times). Besides, there just aren't that many pictures that I've seen that attract me anyway. And I'm not THAT fussy, really. And then the games some of you women have played. Sick of that too. I'm ready to try and find a wife the old-fashioned way. Or maybe I should stand in front of WalMart with a sign, "Single and looking." :)
