Alot of guys say that stuff but they want control...and they can't have control with a successful woman I think that's true. A lot of guys say they have no problem with a woman being more successful, or even as successful as they are. However, I don't think that's true for some. |

I have some male friends that coincidentally just happen to all be dating or shagging up w/ women who have nothing going for them, have no jobs, er and just appear to be using them... The guys take care of them, letting them take their money to use on who knows what.. Men talk about wanting someone with brains, smarts, good jobs, not so needy, blah blah blah, and yadda yadda yadda. So why do they date the opposite? I just hate to see ANYBODY being taken advantage of, like this, but of course you can't say anything. Believe me I have, and them being men still don't see what I am talking about. I'm just trying to understand why. Can you help me? ***And before you may think that I'm jealous because I'm interested in them, I'm not, we are honestly friends and not each other's type***   Most women dont have a lot of money or a career like you Ella.Most of them are mothers just trying to get by in life. That has been my experience.

I understand that but there is a thing about how you act, and treat others, as well. I know many of single mothers out there who are trying to get by and who do not act in these ways. When I meant that I am better then them I did not mean because I have more money or a career I meant that I am a better person over all with my actions and how I treat others.

From what I have been told over the years I don't think it is about being in control or superior. Maybe the women guys end up with are the ones they aren't constantly having to compeat with and can be a man for. Some of it is men tend to find women they feel comfortable with. That is who they see themselves with and to heck with other peoples choices. Some times it is not about the woman but her children and finally being a hero in someones eyes. Lot of women do a hachet job on their children and the loves in their life and men just want to have whatever love they can find. Some times it not wanting to be alone but sometimes it is better loving something you are not going to be surprised by or broke down when they leave. I really don't believe sex is that big a deal. Women like to believe it is hard for men to find and it sounds good like other social myths but if a guy wants sex he can find it.

I know you weren't saying you were better than them hun. I was just pointing out how (kinda) rare it is to meet a single woman that has a lot. Most of the women I know that have more than me (financially)would be (some) older women.

I'm just trying to understand why. Can you help me? Sometimes, our extra brain takes over and we volunteer for our pain. Just remember when we do that the stupid should be punished, grab a bag of popcorn and watch the show. You know we'll do it time after time and might as well prove to your self by our own behavior that we in fact are the dumber sex at least in some matters.
