I think I tend to seek out the ones who do not judge but listen first. Then they can offer their thoughts. I have some who won't even let me finish, and they just blurt out the normal status quo answers...and I know those answers already... so thats not really giving me any new input.

With me, it must be a vibe or body language and eye manuevering. If they appear receptive and seem to have like mind in their body language or in their eyes, I pipe up.

New friends are always welcome. I tend to go with people who make me laugh and people who are interesting to talk to.

Being a rolling stone most of my life has taught me how to make friends, and how to choose. To become friends you must something in common. You must also like the person for who they are and what they stand for. Otherwise they fall into the category of acquaintances.

usually it is something they say or do or don't say or don't do, or the way they look at me, or if they're hawt, or they're a mutual match love, or they're remarkably concise in their profile, or they happen to be on when i'm on, their avatar is compatible with my avatar, or sometimes it is just random!

I wouldn't call it seeking out friends; I would call it being a friend. Usually, it's when someone says something that strikes a chord in me, something I can empathize with, or relate to, good or bad. The reverse is true too. I pull away when there's something that I strongly disagree with, too.

A while back, I identified and could relate to your insanity. You befriended me immediately. Coincidence? I don't think so.
